AP US History

Hello and Welcome back! AP US History covers twice as much information in the same amount of time.  We will be using technology to help us get through it all.  It is important that you understand America before Columbus.  Before the second day of class please go to my Youtube Channel and click on the US History playlist.  Watch "America before Columbus" and write an essay discussing the impact of Columbus on America and Europe.  Consider the following points:
1. Fishing
2. Populations
3. Natural resources
4. Animals
5. Trade
6. War
7. The Church

AP World History

Hello and welcome back! AP World History begins with the "Cave Men" and goes through the modern era.  That's a lot to cover! We will take advantage of technology and use Youtube history videos.  By the second day of class I want everyone to go to my Youtube Channel and watch the videos on Egypt and Mesopotamia.  After you watch please write an essay discussing the following:
1. What are the respective dates of the two civilizations?  What makes these two of the first civilizations?
2. Where are the two located? Why? How did location influence them?
3. Explain the role of religion and how the two differed. What role did that play in government?
4. What are 3 ways we are influenced by each of the two civilizations today?

World Civ Quiz

You can use your study guide. This means I expect a thorough answers.

1. Briefly explain how the Cold War played out in the decolonization of Afghanistan and the Middle East. This means discussing the US and USSR and their relation to these countries and issues.

2. Explain how ethnic and religious issues lead to conflict in the Middle East and India. Be sure to discuss all areas listed in question.

3. Explain how the Cold War affected US involvement in Central and South America. What about the Pacific?
